• Medals are only gained from successfully attacking another players base; you do not gain Medals for successfully defending your own base, or lose Medals for unsuccessful attacks on another player's base.
•How many Medals you have the potential of gaining from another player's base is based off the difference between your medal total and theirs. The more Medals they have than you the more you have the potential to take
•How many of those potential Medals you will take away from a successful attack depends on how many "Stars" you earn in the battle out of a total of 3. You gain Stars for doing the following:
- 25% total damage to the base = 1 Star
- Destroying the bridge = 1 Star
- 100% damage = 1 Star
•The only way to earn all the potential Medals is to gain all three Stars in a single battle; getting 2 Stars in one battle and then earning the last Star in the next will result in less than the total you could earn from getting all three Stars in one battle.
•While very similar, Medals and Damage Protection are not directly tied together, and it is possible to have a battle where Medals are won, but no Damage Protection is triggered.
•Depending on how damaged a base is at the start of the battle it might not be possible to gain all three Stars. If a base was already over 25% damaged at the start of combat, then you would not have a chance to recross the 25% total damage threshold, meaning the total Stars you could earn from that battle would only be two.
